The future of the Sheerwater Regeneration Project

Consultation has concluded

View survey results

Due to the council’s challenging financial situation, we cannot continue to fund the redevelopment of Sheerwater. Thameswey will continue to work on the phases that are currently being built but we will not commence any new phases.

This means we now need to decide what happens with the remainder of the regeneration area, including what we do with the existing homes, buildings and community facilities that were previously identified for redevelopment.

If you are a Sheerwater resident or have an interest in the regeneration project, please tell us your views by completing the survey below.

Your views will be presented to the council’s Executive in the Autumn along with the findings of the review currently being undertaken by external property experts, Avison Young.

You have until Sunday 17 September 2023 to share your thoughts about the future of Sheerwater with us.

1,300 households in and around the regeneration area have been sent a copy of the survey. Completed surveys can be returned to the following locations, where further copies are also available.

Participating venues:

  • Eastwood Leisure Centre
  • MASCOT Hub on Dartmouth Avenue
  • Parkview Centre for the Community
  • Sheerwater Health Centre
  • St Michael's

Thank you in advance for involvement and interest in the project.

Hear from Deputy Leader, Cllr Will Forster, Portfolio Holder for the Sheerwater Regeneration Project
