Horsell Moor Play Area Consultation

Consultation has concluded

Update June 2023

The Council would like to thank residents for taking part in the public consultation and is pleased to provide the following update.

The Council has been working with local Ward Councillors and the playground supplier (KOMPAN) to review the feedback from the public consultation and propose alterations to the design as a result. With additional funds made available through the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), alongside a contribution from the Horsell Residents Association, it has been possible to make some amendments to the existing design and provide additional items of equipment, in line with feedback from residents. This includes:

  • Amendments to the existing multi-play to incorporate more challenging elements e.g. overhead bars, with specific focus on targeting improved provision for the junior age range.
  • Addition of a Toddler Play Slide with slide, to provide separate toddler provision from the junior multi-play
  • Addition of a rotating ‘tipi’ spinning dish
  • Addition of sensory play items including play panels
  • Addition of somersault bars

Installation of the new equipment is scheduled to begin in July and will take approximately 4 weeks to complete.
